I am code signing a Mac app using my Developer ID certificate so we can send it to beta testers. Thanks to helpful articles here I made sure I have the right certificate and private key.

(This is a new app id) When I select Developer ID and Archive, I select to distribute with Developer ID and it validates all the checks successfully (Using Xcode 6.1) and creates my app file. When I launch it I crash with this in console (another great tip found here to check console for the REAL error): killed com.appname.OSXpid 5946 because its use of the com.apple.developer.maps entitlement is not allowed (error code -67050)11/7/14 11:26:23.263 com.apple.xpc.launchd1: (com.VIPorbit.OSX.1) Binary is improperly signed.So, I know the docs say you cannot distribute an app with Maps outside of the MacApp Store, but I assume this mean selling Mac apps as is often done. We are using the Mac App Store all the way. Also I can successfully archive and submit to the Mac App Store and we're in review.The challenge is we want to get this out to some beta folks and Maps is a key feature we've added. I really don't want to go the old route with getting this Mac info and adding it to the provisioning file, defeats the purpose of the Developer ID option.Anyone else experience this?

Indeed you are right as per the release notes:In Developer Preview 4, unsigned or improperly signed kexts will not be loaded. I will admit, that most of my work has been migrating the PrefPane to ARC (which doesn’t work on 10.7, unfortunately) and making the force feedback plug-in use a C feature.I did make the kexts compilable under C11, though.

Issue

I'm actually having a problem still trying to link my Xbox 360 controller. I have it linked with a Windows boot partition pretty easily, but the Yosemite side is giving me problems. Hijust wondering if i could get some help with some issuesi have been using various iterations of the tattiebogle driver over the last 6 years with no issue. I have been slowly migrating software over to a yosemite partition, and making sure all is ok. Most of the games i use are working fine with your version of the driver, but i am having issues with othersmy main issue is with a game called 'metro: last light'. Burgmuller op 109 pdf to jpg. Unfortunately the controller is greyed out on the menu despite the controller being compatible. Currently involved in an ongoing support discussino with the developer, who has referred me to the tattiebogle drivers.

I have yet to mention that i am using these updated drivers for yosemite. It might be a stretch to ask if anyone else has this particular game, but maybe there are known issues with certain games, for certain reasons. If i can't get it working, i might have to pursue a refund. I do really want to enjoy this game though:)my main reason for writing, however, is to see if there is anyway of streamlining the uninstall process. I am sure everybody is familiar with conflicts between the tat drivers, and companies that write proprietary drivers e.g aspyr. Searching for pref files, removing, and restarting is the advice given by aspyr, but i tend to jump from one game to another in quick succession; it is not possible to keep going through this process for a quick 10-minute sessioni have to say that this coding stuff goes way over my head, and i am often quite wary of making modifications (i don't even know what i need to do with the uninstall script above), but i was wondering how simple the process can be made, and if there is any way of avoiding a restart. I did come across this the other day, but i am not sure whether it applies to this situation:one other solution might be to buy 'controllermate'.

That way, as long as there is a current functioning driver, it would be possible to bypass the controller options, and defer to emulating mouse and keyboard bindings. This does seem to be a huge amount of work though, even as a last resortthis is my very first github post, and i am hoping this whole controller thing becomes a bit less 'fringe'. As someone who has had both wrists operated on for carpal tunnel (and can only game with a controller, in shorter bursts), i am so grateful for everything you are doingany help would be greatly appreciatedmany thanks.
