The board isn't made by Camaro, it's an HP/Compaq board made by Mitac. Manual can be found here: http://www.motherboards.org/files/m.

This was interesting in another thread that got locked. So lets continue it here.ZS-Carpenter ARCTICEAGLE Only on expensive cars, everyday cars have autos/auto manuals that are designed for economy and sit in the highest gear. Even if you take control of them the response time sucks, I'd rather be able to control it not have the car do it.That's how it always starts. Once upon a time only the rich could have power steering, then a few decades later it was power windows and A/C. Now unless you buy a stripped down base model you get all that and more.Every car leaning towards the performance side(not talking about the wives mini van here) will be switching to an auto with tiptronic mode or a true floppy paddle dual clutch with in the next 10 years. It started only on high end exotics(after being proven in race cars) then made its way to german and japan and is now on its way to the states in the new corvetteI will even use GM's own advertising mag to show the proof. In a couple years this trans will end up in the camaro and ford will follow along and have one in the mustang and im sure fiat will have one too.

They will be the fastest option, the most reliable option and fewer and fewer manuals will be sold until it is not worth it from a cost standpoint for the manufacturers to offer them any longer. This is true, even my daughter's Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS auto trans can be put into manual gear selecting mode. True they are not as fast shifting as the high end exotics, but it will be there some day. There is also the Continuously Variable Transmission to consider, but they are not performance orientated.

RikkiTorment I am a purist, I love having a standard transmission. However when you really start to bump horsepower for dragracing or are looking for consistent times, the automatic will more than likely make a quicker lap. But they'll never trump the fun factor!;)Agree, there is a connection to the vehicle you get with a Stick that you don't with an Auto. My next car will be a 2016 Camaro 1LE with a manual trans, as long as Chevy doesn't do a horrid redesign of the body. If they do I'll look for a 2015 1LE, but it has to be Silver.

I also want the factory installed pedal covers. Kram36 This was interesting in another thread that got locked. I'm not going to lie, that car was actually somewhat fun because of the transmission. Throttle response was pretty nice, even though you didn't really go anywhere lol. Blacksapphire08I have passed on some newer cars because they were not offered with a manual. As for CVTs they're nowhere near as efficient as claimed.

A lot of people say that they dont get the gas mileage they're supposed to with a CVT. I have also experienced that driving my mother's Nissan Altima. Also the lack of gear shifts is pretty disturbing.Yeah I've read that not having gear shifts is a weird feeling.

Moose517I actually am still in debate with myself for when I get my camaro. I'm thinking I'm just going to get the auto even though there is that loss but at least I have the option for manual if I want it. Mine will be a daily driver and as such not am I always going to want to fuss with manual. That said I'm keeping my current car as well which is auto so I'm covered for a daily driver if I want so a manual only car might be more appealing.

Idk yet lolIf you're keeping your current ride get a stick in the Camaro. RikkiTorment RushXTC It also depends on where you live though. I don't think I could daily a manual in Los Angeles. I love WOT and when you need to brake every minute.

Downshifting.I drove my WS6 through downtown Toronto during rush hour, I don't mind downshifting at all compared to repeatedly getting it in gear just to crawl 5 feet. It took me two hours to drive 10 miles lolI hate down shifting I am am to lazy for that. Its too much work IMO. What I learned was when coming to a red light or stop sign for example, what I do is pop it in neutral and coast. Once I am at a complete stop at the light or stop sign, I then pop it into 1st gear.
